Equality and Diversity awareness
Delegates will understand the six key strands of diversity, identify types of discrimination and explore their own values and how their values may impact on others.
They will learn the skills to necessary to demonstrate professional conduct at all times surrounding equality and diversity issues.
The trainers will encourage group discussions and draw on examples relevant to the work place. Learners will develop an understanding of how positive actions can promote a more inclusive environment and value diversity.
Personnel from any organisation who require a greater understanding of equality and diversity, particularly those working in roles in direct contact with members of the public.

What does discrimination look like and sound like when it is about:
Stereotyping - What is it? How does it happen? What effect does it have? How can we stop ourselves doing it?
Language and terminology
Harassment and bullying - what is it and how does it affect people?
What to do if you feel you are being discriminated against or harassed in the workplace
Case studies on diversity issues
