CIEH Level 3 Health & Safety In the Workplace
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) level 3 Health and Safety in the Workplace training course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of health and safety emphasising the importance of monitoring staff and controls.
It also details the need for a structured management approach to health and safety and the key factors in implementing health and safety policy. The course is suitable for employees working in any business sector.
The course covers the following:
Concept of health and safety
Accidents in the workplace
Ill health in the workplace
Legal provisions (UK only)
Health and safety organisation and management
Supervising health and safety
The expected learning outcomes are:
Demonstrate an understanding of the main concepts of health and safety
Show awareness of the benefits of health and safety culture
Explain the roles and responsibilities of individuals, supervisors and management in health and safety
Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors
Candidates are assessed by a 2 hour test consisting of 60 multi-choice questions.
Course certification: On successful completion of the course delegates will be awarded the CIEH Level 3 Health and safety in the Workplace certificate
